Flavoured Cider

To purists flavoured cider is on the same plane as Dante's sixth level of Hell. Certainly the "fruit" flavoured ciders on supermarket shelves are sugar packed chemical confections with little or no relation to anything grown on a tree. That being said, flavouring cider has always been part of Somerset life. Cider and honey is local lemsip, mulled spiced cider is a winter staple and Slider which is the sloes left over from gin making soaked in cider is found in many farmhouses. Watch this space, some day we may bottle some of our natural local flavours and export them beyond our borders.
